Help with "Error: Unable to download DME" when trying to download file

New user here,
When I connect to the DME using the OBD Port, I can read the DME Flash Counter and Read the DME Information. but when I try to download the data I get an error that says: "Error: Unable to download DME".

The vehicle is: 2003 E46 M3 with SMG.
DME HW: 7837941
DME ZB: 7837937
DME SW: 7837938

Has your DME been professionally tuned prior to using ByteTuner? If so, it might be locked from being read via OBD2.

Not to my knowledge.
According to the log, the last update to the DME was in 2006,

Aftermarket tunes won't show up in the log which appears after clicking the "DME Info" button. Only dealer flashes will show up in this history.

Can you email us the debug logs which were generated in the background? You can find them by clicking the "Logs" button under the Help menu.
