Byte tuner won't let me increase the maf 256x1 curve past 1024 on ms42

This is not a limitation of ByteTuner. This is a limitation that Siemens placed on MS42 (and MS43, MS45, and possibly others as well). There are ways around this limitation as you'll read here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=157
